High quality of service at Zürich airport
According to the «Airport Service Quality Awards
2007», presented by «Airports Council International», Zürich airport
is one of the most customer-friendly airports in the world. Among
the European countries, Zürich airport ranks second, behind Oporto,
which tops the survey. Helsinki and Munich tie in third place. For
those airports servicing 15 to 25 million passengers per year, Zürich
places third, behind Kuala Lumpur and San Diego, which rank first
and second respectively.
The «Airport Service Quality Awards» are considered highly important
in the airport business. The rankings are based on results from
nearly 200,000 questionnaires completed by passengers in 2007. The
survey represents the passengers’ immediate appraisal of 34 airport
services, from check-in to gate departure.
«Airports Council International», the association of the world’s
airports, is a non-profit-organization, whose prime purpose is to
advance the interests of airports and to promote professional excellence
in airport management and operations.
