The Life Science Zurich (LSZ) Business Network, together with the Business and Economic Development of the Canton of Zurich, the University of Zurich as well as the Bio-Technopark Schlieren-Zurich organized the first LSZ Impact Conference on Translational Medicine. 300 participants attended the event which took place at the Technopark Zurich on January 22nd 2018, thereof 50% from industry, 35% from academia, about 10% of participants came from abroad. The event clearly focused on early stage projects in pharma and biotech. The pilot conference concentrated on the fields of cancer, immunology & infection and neurosciences.

Short pitches by researchers from ETH Zurich, the University of Zurich, the University Hospital and the University of Applied Sciences ZHAW as well as contributions from young startup companies highlighted early stage projects. The panel discussion focused on the vision of translational medicine in 2030.
The industry exhibit offered partners and sponsors the possibility to interact with the conference participants. On top, 150 one-to-one meetings took place and facilitated interaction between academia, industry and investors.
The conference was an excellent opportunity to find the right partners to accelerate the development of novel therapeutic strategies and innovative concepts of health prevention and treatment.

She holds a Master in International Affairs and Governance as well as the degree Certified Teacher for Business Education from the University of St.Gallen.
