Companies prefer ETH graduates

Zurich – Companies are very keen to employ graduates of the Federal Institute of Technology (ETH) in Zurich. In an international ranking assessing employability after graduation, the university came in 16th place – making it number 1 in continental Europe.

The latest ranking from QS Quacquarelli Symonds lists the 500 leading universities in the world in terms of graduate employability. ETH Zurich came in 16th place, making it the highest ranked university in continental Europe. 

ETH Zurich is especially strong in building partnerships with employers, scoring 91.4 out of 100 points in this category. Its reputation among employers is outstanding, with 98.3 out of 100 points. Only 15 universities outperformed it in the QS survey of 30,000 international employers.

The first three places went to Stanford University, the University of California Los Angeles (UCLA) and Harvard University. Other Swiss universities in the ranking are the University of Zurich (94), the University of St.Gallen (111 to 120), and the Universities of Basel, Geneva and Lausanne (251-300).
