Zurich one of world’s most reputable cities
City RepTrack is published annually by Reputation Institute. The global survey is based on more than 22,000 consumer ratings collected in the G8 countries and ranks the world’s most reputable cities. The survey groups perceptions regarding 13 attributes into three dimensions: advanced economy, effective government and appealing environment.
Zurich scored particularly well this year with respect to sustainability, thus remaining in the top 10, according to a statement from Reputation Institute.
Sydney and Vienna captured first and second place, and Zurich was followed by Toronto as the most reputable North American city and Stockholm. The top 10 was rounded off by Edinburgh, Montreal, Rome, Vancouver and Copenhagen.
San Francisco was the top ranked American city, coming in 18th place. Geneva, which had ranked 8th last year, is no longer in the top 10. Sydney, by contrast, successfully defended its position as the world’s most reputable city for the second year in a row
“By focusing on reputation drivers, cities can improve their reputation scores and benefit from increased support from their stakeholders,” said Nicolas George Trad, executive partner at Reputation Institute, when explaining why a city’s reputation is of such importance.
