Sustainable Fintech in Switzerland
Thursday, July 9 at 3 pm in Korea (KST) / 8 am in Switzerland / approx. 60 min
Fintech services are on the rise worldwide: new consumer groups will be included, and existing groups (millennials!) are getting more tech-savvy and cost-conscious by the month. A major Swiss bank estimates that fintech revenues will triple in the next ten years, reaching USD 500 billion in revenue. However, what business models are sustainable? Sustainable in terms of economic prosperity, environmental protection and social equity, which is a major factor for a stable society such as Switzerland.
The head of the Swiss Fintech Innovation Lab at the University of Zurich will explain his view on fintech today and tomorrow, and sketch possibilities how Korean fintech companies can connect with the Swiss ecosystem. Since 'sustainable' also means 'compliant with regulation', a specialized lawyer from FRORIEP in Zurich will highlight Switzerland's regulatory landscape for fintech companies and answer pertinent questions. Finally, the Chairman of the Fintech Center Korea, Dr Yoo Shin Jung will give his view on international collaboration which will enable Korean fintech to succeed on the international and global markets. There will also be ample time for questions.
