The consulting firm Accenture has drawn up plans to increase its footprint in Zurich by 2024. To achieve this, new office space across an area of 9,000 square meters will be created in two buildings located on Pelikanstrasse and Sihlstrasse in the center of Zurich, further details of which can be found in a press release. In so doing, Accenture is responding to its growth course and the changing requirements on the part of its employees.
The new City Campus will be situated directly adjacent to the existing Accenture Interactive Studio where the company’s digital product development activities are housed. Up to 1,000 employees will gradually be moved over to the new sites by 2024. With this move, Accenture is aiming to move on from the concept of a traditional workplace by creating a modern, adaptable environment for its employees, the press release explains.
Following a digitalization boost in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic, working culture has now come to be shaped by the pillars of collaboration, self-determination and remote work. As one of Switzerland’s most prominent employers and a pioneer in the field of New Work, it is therefore essential for Accenture to focus on the needs of its employees.
“If the pandemic has shown us one thing, then it’s the fact that our working culture is undergoing a period is extensive transformation. Flexible working patterns and an environment that supports creative thinking and action are now must-haves for companies”, explains Marco Huwiler, Country Managing Director of Accenture Switzerland, in the press release.
