According to a press release, Accenture has made a strategic investment in Imburse. The Zurich-based company provides a payment transaction platform based on the cloud. The aim is to link outdated systems with the global payment transaction system with the aid of APIs (application programming interfaces) via one single connection. It is working with global banks, insurers and other major companies to do so.

Sulabh Agarwal, who is globally responsible for the area of payment transactions at Accenture, explains in the press release: “Payments systems at many companies are being stressed by changing consumer preferences – challenging them to offer the latest digital payment options while maintaining efficient operations.” He adds that Imburse’s platform simplifies integration and serves as a holistic payment solution for companies.

According to the press release, Imburse will also be involved in Accenture Ventures’ Spotlight project. The program aims to link technology start-ups with major global companies.

Imburse was founded in Zurich in 2018. In addition to its headquarters in Switzerland, the company also has a branch in London.
