Acronis is planning to open a new Cyber Protection Operation Center (CPOC) in Schaffhausen, as detailed in a press release. According to the information presented by the company, this should serve as a type of commando headquarters for the economic area of Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA).
The expertise generated by the experts situated at the CPOC should help developers at Acronis to devise new solutions. The CPOC will, for example, provide daily alerts to new cyber threats and natural catastrophes in addition to defining protection plans for customers. Moreover, it will serve the purpose of analyzing and verifying software vulnerabilities.
These days, it is essential that companies are able to detect threats early on in order to immediately and appropriately react to these, explains Candid Wüest, Director of the new CPOC.
