Stäfa/Denver - The climate analysis platform from Project Canary will in future offer sensors from Sensirion Connected Solutions to its industry clients in the USA. These sensors can detect and quantify leaking methane, meaning, for example, that gas suppliers are able to deliver verifiable climate documents.

Sensirion Connected Solutions from the Greater Zurich Area and Project Canary with headquarters in the US state of Colorado have entered into a partnership. The cloud-based analysis and control portal from Project Canary used to detect emissions will now offer its energy sector customers the option of Sensirion’s sensors for monitoring leaking methane.

Clients from the energy sector can now create tailored sensor configurations to meet their need for better data according to a quote from Chris Romer, CEO and Co-Founder of Project Canary, published in two identical press releases from the two companies. He adds: “Project Canary integrates the best sensors into our platform to provide the highest quality data to meet the market demands for accurate, independent emission profiles.”

Dr. Felix Hoehne, General Manager at Sensirion Connected Solutions, commented that the firm has seen “a race among companies to provide reliable emissions data and services”. He adds: “Industry leaders in the energy sector want to be ahead of the regulatory curve, and that’s where Project Canary and Sensirion Connected Solutions come in. Together, we enable the energy industry to roll out a scalable, high-quality solution to all gas well sites.”
