The new app from neon Switzerland AG is designed to make day-to-day banking easier for customers and give them complete control over all banking transactions. According to an article on startupticker.ch, it is the first such app in Switzerland that is independent of existing banks. neon Switzerland AG is developing the app in collaboration with IT and product partners, and plans to launch it in autumn 2018.
Investors are already impressed by the new app, with the Zurich-based company successfully raising 1 million Swiss francs in a financing round. A group of well-known Swiss business angels, including Adrian Bührer, Dominik Grolimund and Luzius Meisser, participated in the financing round, as did the Innovation Foundation of the Schwyzer Kantonalbank. Marcus Oswald from the Innovation Foundation is particularly impressed with how the app intelligently bundles bank offers, according to the article.
“Many banks still do not understand the needs of their customers,” said Simon Youssef, head of product development at neon. The company now offers customers “banking without bureaucracy”. Co-founded Jörg Sandrock said they regard themselves as “challengers of the banking establishment”.
