BBC Bircher launches new protection system

With its new Expert System, BBC Bircher Smart Access is launching an integrable, modular protection system for gates and doors on the market. The solution consists of the ExpertLine self-assembly, pressure-sensitive edge system, which has been renamed the ExpertSystem XL for marketing purposes, and the ExpertSystem XRF radio transmission system, which has been newly developed from scratch. The new system can be used both for perimeter protection and access gates.

The radio transmitter, which is integrated in the pressure-sensitive edge in non-visible fashion, is particularly well suited to applications with high-level aesthetic demands, a press release explains. Moreover, the response time for the door or gate system as a whole is significantly reduced thanks to the minimal response power and extremely fast response times of the radio link. For this reason, it is therefore possible to use smaller pressure-sensitive edges, even at higher travel speeds, in comparison with standard market solutions.

The cleverly designed system construction also ensures that both the pressure-sensitive edge and the radio transmission function can be set-up a few simple steps. In addition, the system is quick and simple to install and maintain, which should help to cut any storage, servicing and investment costs overall.
