Zurich – Caplena has been honored with an award at the planung&analyse Insight conference in Germany. The spin-off from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Zurich has developed a platform based on artificial intelligence that supports market researchers in the analysis of surveys.

Caplena has won the Newcomer award in market research at the planung&analyse Insights 2019 conference in Frankfurt, as was reported in a press release. The award was presented by market research leaders. The competition was open to startups that have developed an innovative solution for use in market research. This year, Caplena was able to win out over ten other applicants.

Caplena has created a solution for market researchers that is based on artificial intelligence. This helps their work by coding open answers in surveys. The platform learns with each added answer and will therefore facilitate an ever-greater degree of automation in future. “After users have assigned codes to around 100 answers, artificial intelligence can generally take over processing the rest with only a very low error rate,” says Pascal de Buren, co-founder of Caplena.

Caplena is a spin-off from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Zurich (ETH) and has its headquarters in Zurich.
