Schlieren - Digital Republic has won an award for being the most innovative provider worldwide at this year’s World Congress of Mobile Virtual Network Operators in Berlin. The mobile internet provider in the Greater Zurich Area was named 5G MVNO of the Year.

Digital Republic has been honored at this year’s World Congress of Mobile Virtual Network Operators (MVNO) in Berlin. According to a press release, the mobile network provider based in the JED campus in Schlieren has been awarded the title of 5G MVNO of the Year as the world’s most innovative provider. This is the first time that the most important award of the World Congress has gone to a Swiss mobile provider.

The World Congress of MVNO unites the industry of MVNO. According to the press release, more than 350 virtual mobile network providers from over 60 countries came to Berlin to learn and exchange information about the latest developments. They delved into the biggest trend topic 5G and developments around the Internet of Things (IoT).

Each year for the World Congress of Mobile Virtual Network Operators, a jury assesses MVNO around the world on the basis of various criteria, including innovation, technology, product lines and the customer experience. Digital Republic was recognized as the world’s most innovative provider of 5G solutions.

The two co-founders of Digital Republic, Marco Arnold and Ali Soy, saw the award as confirmation of their business model for offering unlimited telephony without minimum contract periods. “After almost four years since the launch of Digital Republic, this award makes us very proud and proves that we are on the right track,” said Marco Arnold

Ali Soy adds: “We are convinced that the network, like 5G, must be equally accessible to all. That’s why we at Digital Republic strive for a free and fair, as well as completely digital mobile offering.” The company has received an award for precisely that.
