Expense Robot is the new partner of bta first travel

Expense Robot and bta first travel have agreed a partnership. Expense Robot, a fintech start-up headquartered at Technopark Zurich, will provide its fully automated solution for all expenses and company credit card processes to the business trip operator bta first travel and its customer base. To this end, Expense Robot leverages the benefits of Artificial Intelligence (AI). The aim and promise of the firm is for no settlement of a process that employees have carried out on behalf of their employer to last longer than five seconds.

The added value for customers of the travel operator, which was taken over in 2010 by the Hotelplan Group, a subsidiary of Migros, lies in an “overall, integrated expense solution with an excellent price-performance ratio”, commented Roland Birchmeier, CEO of bta first travel, during an interview with the Expense Robot website. The increased quality and time savings at lower processing costs associated with this approach are “very attractive”.

It is becoming increasingly difficult for customers of bta to gain an overview of all the providers operating within this segment. “Therefore, we were looking for a partner who offers an excellent product, is dynamic and – not to be underestimated – has a national presence and is therefore quickly available, which is by no means a given. We found this in Expense Robot.”

Conversely, in its role as an established player on the market for decades, bta first travel brings market knowledge and contacts to the table for Expense Robot, with the aim of “continuously improving” the Zurich-based start-up’s product.
