Zurich – With its software, Hegias allows real estate planners access to a virtual reality (VR) platform at the click of a button. Construction projects can therefore be shared by link at every planning phase, jointly inspected and modified even during times of social distancing.

Hegias has launched its VR software solution Hegias 1.0 on the market. This allows people involved in construction projects to hold digital meeting during the planning phase and test planning options in a virtual space irrespective of their location. According to a press release issued by the Zurich-based firm, this software could save several thousand tons of CO2 each year in Switzerland alone.

As Hegias explains further, this application requires no software installation and can be used immediately. Real estate and interior design projects can be visualized in virtual reality at the click of a button. Prototypes can be developed directly in the Content Management System. The software allows users to change materials and interior fittings in real time during the inspection with or without the use of VR goggles.

In addition, the software will therefore allow both planners and sellers to present their projects integrated in the real environment on a scale of 1:1 or 1:10. Customers are able to see and experience the plans in a virtual space, which helps to create trust and security, as well as avoiding any misunderstandings. Moreover, Hegias 1.0 is said to be up to 100 times cheaper than the VR solutions available before now.
