The Zurich-based firm Miromico AG is among the Swiss companies exhibiting at the technology trade fair GITEX. The company specializes in applications in the area of the Internet of Things (IoT), concentrating on the cost-effective production of smart sensors in the process. Some of these sensors are now being showcased at the event in Dubai.
The Miromico product portfolio also includes technologies that could be of real interest to modern desert nations such as, for example, a smart control valve that Miromico is jointly presenting at the trade fair with the Thurgau-based firm Hawido. This is suitable for targeted irrigation. It can be controlled remotely and facilitates a particularly economical consumption of water resources. The valve comes from Hawido, while Miromico provides the sensors. The Schaffhausen-based company Tesenso then takes the data from the sensors and visualizes it on a dashboard.
Miromico technologies are developed, tested and produced in Switzerland. In addition to companies such as Hawido and Tesenso, Miromico also cooperates with the Zurich University of Applied Sciences (ZHAW), for example. ZHAW and Miromico have teamed up for various projects funded by Innosuisse that are focused on the field of Artificial Intelligence (AI). Among other aspects, AI plays an interesting role in the analysis of sensor data.
Miromico and its partners have already been able to make several new contacts at GITEX, says Alexander Raimondi, CEO of Miromico. These also include potential new partners based in the Gulf region. “We have detected huge interest in the digital transformation, especially IoT, which further encourages us to expand existing relationships and create new ones”, Raimondi explains.
