With their logistics award, the associations Verein Netzwerk Logistik (VNL) and detranz recognize companies that use digitalization to promote efficiency and sustainability in the transport sector. The award was handed out to the Baar-based startup Pickwings at this year’s Swiss Logistics Forum.
Pickwings offers an intelligent transport solution that optimizes the logistics process by matching supply and demand. Transport providers benefit by avoiding empty trips, while customers receive less expensive offers that also protect the environment as they emit less CO2. Pickwings’ services are aimed at both private and commercial customers who wish to send goods weighing more than 31.5 kilograms.
Pickwings’ services are generating great interest among companies. In the beginning of October, the startup entered into a partnership with the Swiss retailer Migros, which plans to use the Pickwings solution and explore further possibilities for cooperation.
