SV Hotel wins innovation award for accommodation concept

SV Hotel, a company based in the Greater Zurich Area, has developed a new accommodation concept. Stay KooooK offers “the ease and welcoming atmosphere of a sharing solution without sacrificing the attentive, reliable service of a hotel,” explains Beat Kuhn, Managing Director of SV Hotel. It also redefines the role of hosts, making them a personal on-site contact who provides tips to guests. Stay KooooK reportedly works with the least operational effort, freeing the host up to dedicate as much time as possible to the individual and personal care of guests. The booking and check-in/check-out processes are thus fully automated, for example. 

Guests are put up in fully furnished studios in central city locations in which “living and personal space is created through intelligent room design”. The company is focused on the local touch.

At the Swiss Hotel Innnovations-Tag, SV Hotel has now received the Hotel Innovations Award for Stay KooooK. The award is presented by GastroSuisse and the Schweizerische Gesellschaft für Hotelkredit (SGH). SV Hotel beat off competition from 30 other contenders. “For the first time in 20 years, a Swiss hotel group has developed a novel, innovative and promising concept that can be used not just in Switzerland but in many other countries as well,” commented Hans Amrein, publicist and member of the jury. He noted that the Stay KooooK concept was “a pioneering achievement”. In addition to existing hotel offers, it responds to the changed needs of guests today. It is both technologically innovative and commercially promising.

SV Hotel plans to open its first sites with the Stay KooooK concept in Bern and Nuremberg in 2020.
