Pfäffikon - The Swiss Hashgraph Association, which is based in the Greater Zurich Area, is supporting a total of 35 projects that aim to develop innovative applications on the Hedera network. The blockchain funding program is being operated together with the Swiss Digital Assets Institute.

The Hashgraph Innovation Program, a joint initiative between the Swiss Hashgraph Association and the Swiss Digital Assets Institute (SDAI) has got off to a successful start. Since being launched in the spring of 2022, a total of 35 projects based in Europe, Asia and the Middle East, as well as North and South America, have qualified for participation in the blockchain funding program. According to a press release, they are being supported with financial resources from the North American public ledger platform Hedera Hashgraph in addition to coaching. Start-ups receive a total of 250,000 US dollars each, with established companies eligible for a sum of 750,000 US dollars and state initiatives potentially benefitting from a maximum of 1.5 million US dollars.

The program funds projects that develop innovative applications on the Hedera network. The aim is to drive global adoption of the particularly energy-saving network based on Distributed Ledger Technology. Accordingly, applications from various industries are being supported. These include fintech, insurtech and gaming solutions, among others. By way of example, the gaming platform developed by the Indian company Nazara has qualified for support from the program.

The Swiss Hashgraph Association was founded in April 2022 by Hedera Hashgraph. The purpose of this non-profit association is to implement the Hashgraph Innovation Program in conjunction with the SDAI. In future, the Swiss Hashgraph Association is also planning to enter into strategic cooperations with other institutions, including the University of Zurich, for example.
