This year’s Consumer Electronics Show Asia (CES ASIA) is taking place in Shanghai from 11 to 13 June. A total of 22 Swiss startups have travelled to China to attend Asia’s premier event for the consumer technology industry. They are being given the chance to showcase their companies at the #SwissTech Pavilion. This has been organized by swissnex China in collaboration with the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Zurich and its equivalent in Lausanne, the Greater Zurich Area, Presence Switzerland, innovaud, Swisscom, Switzerland Innovation and venturelab.
Of the 22 startups seeking to enhance their visibility in China, 11 are from the Greater Zurich Area. They include aiCTX and IniVation, both active in neuromorphic computing, Fixposition which is developing navigation systems for use in drones, Jinn-Bot Robotics & Design GmbH, creating humanoid robots, Mercury Kinetics AG, operator of a connected sports platform for skiing, Modulos AG, working on an automated machine learning platform, Shift Cryptosecurity, which is developing solutions for cryptocurrencies, Somniacs, a specialist at the forefront of virtual reality, Spectroplast, that has made silicone printing compatible with additive manufacturing, xFarm, developer of a smart platform for agriculture, and Verity Studios, which has created drones for indoor spaces.
The startups will also present themselves to investors and experts over the course of the event. This platform aims to help them form new partnerships in China.
The #SwissTech Pavilion was a success last year, when seven Swiss startups introduced their companies at the show – four in fact won an innovation award as well. With 22 companies represented at this year’s event, those attending will learn much more about Switzerland’s innovative startup landscape.
