The Metall Zug Group hopes to create “an industrial ecosystem as a new part of the city” on the V-Zug site. This Tech Cluster Zug will be home to other industrial companies, startups, technology-based service providers, training facilities and apartment accommodation.

The Zurich-based coworking space provider Westhive also plans to have a presence at the site. According to a press release, it wants to open its new offices there in late summer 2022. These will offer members flexible workspaces, conference rooms, a coffee bar, a team kitchen and a gym. Overall, the Zug site will cover an area of over 2,000 sqm.

“We are delighted to have found such a fitting location in Zug,” said Bruno Rambaldi, co-founder of Westhive. “And in Metall Zug we have secured the perfect partner to make our plans a reality.”

According to David Carnier, who is responsible for the Westhive project at Tech Cluster Zug AG, the flexible workstations offered by Westhive are in line with the concept of the Tech Cluster Zug.
