Yonder raises 2.2 million Swiss francs in risk capital

Yonder, a start-up based in the Greater Zurich Area, has raised 2.2 million francs in risk capital from institutional and private investors. As announced by Yonder in a press release, the Schwyz Cantonal Bank was the lead investor in this process. Moreover, Zurich Cantonal Bank and investiere were also both among the institutional investors. Private investors included the co-founder of the successful Swiss start-up Xovis, David Studer. 

Yonder is a Documentation-as-a-Service provider in the aviation industry. The company supports airlines in managing their documentation and compliance challenges. Yonder’s clients include the Swiss Air Force and Edelweiss Air, a member of the Lufthansa Group.

CEO of the Innovation Foundation at Schwyz Cantonal Bank, Markus Oswald, was elected as Investor Director on the Board of Directors. “Yonder offers a great service in a well-defined and fast-growing market. The company also has a unique founding team with a lot of experience in both airline documentation as well as growing small businesses globally”, Oswald commented in the press release.

In order to deepen the expertise of the team, Rainer Hiltebrand is set to join the Advisory Board. Hiltebrand, a former airline captain, was COO at Zurich Airport prior to becoming COO at Swiss International Air Lines and CEO of Lufthansa Aviation Trainings.

All four founders of Yonder have a background in aviation, with two of the founding team having over 15 years of experience in the development of documentation solutions for airlines. A further two contributed to the global growth of Xovis, while one founding member remains an active long-haul captain.
