Zurich Airport has been named as the best airport in the category of 25 to 40 million passengers for 2022, claiming its seventh ASQ (Airport Service Quality) Award in the process. It has therefore repeated its success from the years 2006, 2008, 2018, 2019, 2020 and 2021. For 2022, Zurich shares the accolade and top spot with Athens and Palma de Mallorca.

The award recognizes airports around the world that offer the best customer experience based on the opinions of their own passengers. The surveys are conducted at nearly 400 participating airports in 95 countries, and cover 34 different subject areas such as infrastructure, security checks, catering options and hygiene measures. The awards have been presented annually since 2006 by the Airports Council International World, the international umbrella organization of airport operators.

In a press release, Stephan Widrig, CEO of Flughafen Zürich AG, expresses his gratitude at winning the award again. “The year 2022 brought some challenges with the rapid ramp-up of operations”, he explains, before stating his delight that Zurich Airport’s commitment to providing top quality service has now been recognized again. “Thank you also to our partner companies and all employees at the airport who contribute to this achievement every day”, Widrig concludes. mm
