Person Centred Software, a British mobile care monitoring specialist, has ordered Myco 3 smartphones and accessories worth a total of 3.5 million Swiss francs from Ascom. Ascom’s communication solution will become the standard device for staff in 1,200 care homes, writes a statement. The contract will also allow Person Centred Software to offer Ascom Myco 3s as replacements for Apple devices currently being used in other care homes.
With the Myco 3s, care home staff will be able to better manage their workload, according to Paul Lawrence, Managing Director of Ascom UK. Person Centred Software also wants to offer highly responsive care to residents by gathering and analyzing data more intelligently.
"We are excited to partner with Ascom to help care homes realize the benefits of using innovative technology,” said Jonathan Papworth, Co-Founder and Director of Person Centred Software. “Care homes using Ascom Myco 3 handsets will have the opportunity to integrate evidence of care with other systems to provide a universal mobile device for everyone involved in the provision of care."
