Zurich – Drone experts are meeting up for the first PX4 Developer Summit, held between 20-21 June. PX4 is an open source software for drones, developed by the Greater Zurich Area start-up Auterion. The majority of drones flown around the world use this software.

The PX4 Developer Summitis being held on 20-21 June at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Zurich (ETH). It is the first conference of its kind. PX4 is an open source software developed by Auterion. It is continually further developed by developers across the globe. The majority of drones around the world are based on this auto-pilot system, while companies such as Amazon and DHL also rely on the software.

Auterion was founded just over one year ago, but has already outgrown two offices. Lorenz Meier, founder of Auterion, explained to the biweekly business magazine “Bilanz” at the start of this year, the start-up is doubling its workforce every six months.

The PX4 Developer Summit in Zurich is being sponsored by Auterion and ETH and has capacity for a total of 160 guests to attend.
