Zurich – The University of Applied Sciences in Business Administration Zurich (HWZ) is launching a degree course for digital communication and marketing techniques. The CAS Digital Marketing Pro can be almost entirely completed digitally.

In the new degree course, students can learn “how to supplement the traditional marketing mix with digital tools and strategically design online campaigns, including their effective implementation, measuring success and achieving optimizations with targeted methods,” the HWZ reported in its press release. The CAS Digital Marketing Pro is split into four modules, each run by experts from business.

Lessons will almost exclusively take place in the “Google Classroom”, the press release explains. “Digitalization must be lived,” said Manuel P. Nappo, Director of the Institute for Digital Business at the HWZ. “The HWZ is doing so with the CAS Digital Marketing Pro degree program by consistently exploiting the possibilities of digitalization in education.” The physical presence of students is only required on 2.5 of the 18 course days. The remaining 16 days can be completed at their own pace over a period of six months with all content provided digitally.

The CAS Digital Marketing Pro is for those who have “so far been restricted in what they could learn about digital marketing processes or tools and want to catch up,” the HWZ writes. This course is therefore specifically aimed at professionals wishing to expand on digital marketing expertise gained in their professional life.
