Zurich – The founders of nine startups from the Greater Zurich Area have made it into the Forbes “30 under 30” ranking for Switzerland, Germany and Austria. The business magazine’s ranking recognizes influential people under the age of 30.

Business magazine Forbes has published the latest edition of its “30 under 30” ranking for Switzerland, Germany and Austria. In different categories, it highlights 30 influential people under the age of 30 - and this year, it features the founders of nine companies headquartered in the Greater Zurich Area. They helm Teylor AGSandbornLedgy9T LabsStruckd AGWeSpace and GenTwo Digital from Zurich, as well as Oyoba from Zug and Scewo from Winterthur.

Among the entrepreneurs is Patrick Stäuble, who founded Teylor to give fast credit to SMEs. Behind Sandborn is Isabelle Siegrist, with the concept of transforming ideas into companies. At Ledgy, Yoko Spirig, Ben-Elias Brandt and Timo Horstschäfer developed a platform for equity capital management, while Giovanni Cavolina and Chester Houwink founded 9T Labs to 3D-print carbon fibre composites. 

Flurin Jenalhat and his company Struckd conceived an innovative gaming platform, and with WeSpace, Laura Seifert offers a co-working space to women in Zurich. With GenTwoDigital, Lucas Ereth provides an emissions platform for crypto finance products. Oyoba, created by Kevin Schellinger, is a modern digital bank, while Scewo, the brainchild of Bernhard Winter and Pascal Buholzer, develops stair climbing wheelchairs. 

Further honours went to Gnanli Landrou und Guido Zichittella, two young researchers from the Federal Institute of Technology in Zurich (ETH) – both in the Tech category. A total of 27 entrepreneurs from across Switzerland featured in the “30 under 30” ranking in different categories, compared to 17 last year.
