Roadshow for startups in Hong Kong

The winning startups will travel to Hong Kong from 3 to 9 November, as Venturelab reported in a press release. Venturelab has been organizing these international roadshows regularly, giving startups in a specific industry the opportunity to approach investors and establish new connections. Ten technology startups just recently returned from a trip to China.

The latest selection of ten fintech startups will be introducing themselves before their trip at the Startup Champions Event hosted by the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Zurich (ETH) from 6 p.m. on 24 September. The audience at the event will also vote to select the team captain. Registration is essential for those interested in attending. With Tokenestate SA from Neuchâtel, the winners include just one startup that is not from the Greater Zurich Area. Other startups include Pexapark AG from Schlieren, which runs a platform that supports investors and producers of renewable energies, and Crypto Finance AG from Zug. The remaining seven companies are all based in Zurich, namely Billte AG, Loanboox AG, Orca AG, Raized.AI AG, turicode AG, vestr AG and vlot Ltd.

“We are very happy to bring this competitive selection of Swiss fintech startups to Hong Kong for the first time to approach investors and explore the booming fintech startup ecosystem in Hong Kong and Asia in general,” said Stefan Steiner, co-managing director of Venturelab, in the press release.

Venturelab organizes the roadshow together with swissnex China. Additional support is provided by ETH, the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Lausanne (EPFL), digitalswitzerland, IMMOMIG, PostFinance, Redalpine, Walder Wyss and the Canton of Zurich.

Venturelab is a spin-off from the IFJ Institute for Young Entrepreneurs, which has offices in Schlieren, St.Gallen and Lausanne.
