Winterthur – The start-up eduwo, which is active in the educational sector, is joining forces with Swiss Olympic. Together, the partners are offering an orientation aid for athletes via a digital platform to help identify training and career opportunities.

Eduwo and Swiss Olympic have agreed a collaboration to support athletes who are studying for qualifications alongside their sporting training. The two partners see this as a win-win situation for each other. After all, Swiss Olympic is committed to optimally supporting promising sporting talents and elite athletes alike in its role as the umbrella organization for Swiss sports, while Eduwo offers people interested in education and careers an overview of educational offers supplemented by experience reports via its digital platform. This has led to the creation of the eduwo profileoffering from Swiss Olympic, which is available as an online resource. All information regarding label schools, universities with flexible support offers and institutions with a focus on competitive sports can be found here.

Jost Hammer, Head of Athlete and Career Support at Swiss Olympic, comments: “Education and career go hand in hand. This is particularly important for sport, as many top athletes are following a dual path in terms of their professional lives”. In future, the aim is for all athletes to have comprehensive, digital and clear access to the educational offerings of Swiss Olympic.

Raphael Tobler, CEO of eduwo, explains: “During the implementation phase, we experienced a few minor IT challenges. But I knew straight away that this could be a great thing, so we came up with a solution together”.
