Chur – Ground has now been broken in the construction of the new InnoQube Swiss innovation center. Financed by the ITW Unternehmensgruppe, the project is expected to commence operations in 2024. It is intended to serve as a kind of base camp for start-ups working in the areas of research, development and digitization.

The latest innovation center in the Alpine region is currently under construction in the canton of Graubünden. In the Rossboden district of the city of Chur, the ground-breaking ceremony for the InnoQube Swiss was marked. The project is being financed in full by the Liechtenstein-based ITW Unternehmensgruppe, further details of which can be found in a press release. The investment sum is stated at approximately 25 million Swiss francs in the press release.

CEO of the investor and project developer, Dr. Martin Meyer, is convinced that the InnoQube Swiss will create “a place of innovation, inspiration and progress that will become known far beyond the borders of Switzerland”. Franco Quinter, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the operating company InnoQube Swiss AG, emphasizes that the InnoQube Swiss is viewed as a either temporary or permanent “base camp for innovations”. The range of services offered is aimed “specifically at start-ups, spin-offs and companies from research, development and digitization”, and as such, the “key issues” of health and performance will play a decisive role.

The project is expected to be completed towards the end of 2023, with research and other work then set to commence from 2024 onwards across four floors and a total area of 11,200 square meters of the InnoQube. The new center will offer flexible office space for around 300 work stations, various co-working spaces and meeting rooms, an events arena, restaurant and day care center.
