Dietikon ZH – The technology company Duagon from the Greater Zurich Area has presented a new high-performance calculator. The new single board computer is designed for use in railway vehicles and the medical technology or automation industries.

The technology company Duagon has presented a new high-performance calculator for use in railway vehicles or in medical technology or sophisticated automation processes. The single board computer is based on the 11th generation of Intel Core and Intel Xeon processors from the W-11000E series according to a press release from the company. It offers new core and graphic architectures, acceleration based on artificial intelligence (AI), and improved connectivity. With up to eight processor cores, the computer is ideally suited to virtual applications. With this, programs can be provided as dynamic services that can be added or removed without needing to be physically installed.

A key element of the new board is its scalability in terms of the memory configuration and performance under various environmental conditions, such as ambient temperature and cooling. Optional 10 gigabit ethernet interfaces enable high data throughput and a direct link to a network.

The first models of the new high-performance computer will be presented in the first half of 2022. Fully operational computers will then be available in the second half of the year according to the press release from Duagon.
