Cologny - The Annual Meeting of the World Economic Forum (WEF) is set to take place in Davos from May 22-26, 2022. As such, the WEF will be convening in person for the first time since January 2020. Participants will hold discussions under the motto of “Working Together, Restoring Trust”.

The World Economic Forum is seeking to move on from the coronavirus pandemic. As the organization based in Cologny in the canton of Geneva has now announced, it intends to hold its first Annual Meeting in person since the start of the pandemic. The event is scheduled for May 22-26 in Davos, the canton of Graubünden’s famous ski resort. Under the motto of “Working Together, Restoring Trust”, the event organizers are seeking to highlight issues including the recovery from the pandemic, tackling climate change and the Fourth Industrial Revolution, among others.

After a series of virtual meetings over the past two years, Klaus Schwab, Founder of the World Economic Forum, is firmly of the view that the time has come for leaders from the worlds of politics, business and civil society to finally convene in person again. “We need to establish the atmosphere of trust that is truly needed to accelerate collaborative action and to address the multiple challenges we face”, he explains in the press release.

Over recent days, heads of state and government and international organizations have met virtually to discuss issues related to the economy and society with other leaders from business and civil society as part of the Davos Agenda 2022.
