Unilever Switzerland headquarters now in Schaffhausen

The Swiss headquarters of the consumer goods corporation Unilever have moved to Schaffhausen. The Group’s global functions and the national subsidiary are therefore now under one roof. According to a press release, almost all Knorr products for Swiss retail will continue to be produced at the site in Thayngen. The space freed up by the move of the national subsidiary will be transformed into a food competence center and be open to visitors from outside the company.

With the new site in Schaffhausen, Unilever Switzerland is pioneering a new employment model. A hybrid model was conceived by 40 employees in project groups. This allows employees to choose their workplace as per their individual requirements and work from home, on the go or in the new offices. The aim is to achieve a balance, spending at least 40 percent of time in the office and 60 percent home working.

“With the new working model and appealing work environment in Schaffhausen, Unilever is taking a further step towards becoming an even more modern workplace,” commented Thierry Mousseigne, General Manager at Unilever in Switzerland. “The hybrid working model once again sets a new benchmark and offers employees the greatest possible flexibility in their day-to-day working life.”
