Dübendorf - The Swiss Federal Laboratories for Materials Science and Technology (Empa) has been awarded the “Great Start! Training Enterprise” quality label by Great Place to Work. As such, the consulting firm has now recognized Empa’s excellence in training for the third year in a row.

The consulting firm Great Place to Work has certified Empa as an excellent training organization for the third year in a row, further details of which can be found in a press release issued by Empa. For the “Great Start! Training Enterprise” quality label awarded to Empa, Great Place to Work evaluates trainee assessments via a questionnaire. In addition, the vocational training concept is audited by specialists from the consulting firm.

At Empa, 93 percent of the trainees took part in the survey, the press release explains further. At 87 percent, overall satisfaction was slightly higher than in the previous year. Moreover, all survey participants felt welcome as trainees and take the view that Empa “offers excellent training opportunities overall”. At 97 percent, the trainees particularly emphasized the support for their own professional development.

“Thanks to the great commitment of our motivated vocational trainers, we were able to continue vocational training at Empa to practically the usual extent even during the two challenging COVID years and to offer our trainees close support”, explains David Heusser, vocational training coordinator at Empa, in the press release. “The very positive feedback from our trainees confirms that Empa is in a position to guarantee excellent quality of training and that we are on the right track with our various activities and offers”, he concludes.
