The BSV Blockchain Association has been awarded a prize at the AIBC Summit Americas in Toronto. The Zug-based non-profit association received the Blockchain Government Initiative of the Year award for its dedication, relationship building and educational outreach with governments. AIBC sees itself as a forum for disruptive technologies and organizes events in five regions on four continents.
The BSV Blockchain Association aims to raise awareness of the original Bitcoin protocol (Bitcoin Satoshi Version, BSV) in addition to its solutions and products. “We are delighted to win this award and hugely appreciate this recognition from the team at AIBC for all the effort that is going into promoting the use of BSV blockchain”, comments Jimmy Nguyen, BSV Blockchain Association Founding President, in a press release.
“As an Association we are committed to showing how bitcoin and blockchain has actual use for the public, governments, and industries. We are working to demonstrate how scalable and useful Bitcoin’s original protocol is for making micro payments and big data applications worldwide”, Nguyen explains further. For this reason, one of the key aims is to “engage with governments and organizations the world over”.
