Giants enters into brand partnership with Volvo

The games developer and publisher Giants Software based in Schlieren in the canton of Zurich is entering into a brand partnership with the machine manufacturer Volvo Construction Equipment (Volvo CE). According to a press release, the companies will work together on a project within this partnership. The new Volvo L200H High Lift wheel loader from Volvo CE, which has its headquarters in Göteborg in Sweden, is to be included in the game’s latest version, Farming Simulator 22, as well as other machines such as Volvo trucks.

The new L200H wheel loader was only presented recently and, according to the press release, it is characterized by its markedly increased lifting capacity and added power versus the predecessor, the Volvo L180H High Lift, which is the market leader in the logging industry. A video was released on its introduction.

Thomas Frey, Creative Director and Partner Manager at GIANTS Software, commented: “Volvo CE joining the Farming Simulator universe means a unique and yielding partnership, offering a lot of opportunities.” Frey added that players can look forward to the Volvo CE-powered reinforcement of gameplay aspects in Farming Simulator 22 in the near future.

Arvid Rinaldo, Brand Partnerships at Volvo CE, stated that Volvo is taking its “first active steps into the booming world of gaming” together with Giants. He went on to say: “It will not only be a unique chance for players to bring our machines to life, but the game also represents a great opportunity to introduce a younger generation to all the thrill of machine operation.”
