Schlieren - GIANTS Software has released the Platinum Edition and Platinum Expansion of its Farming Simulator 22. Since the base game version was launched a year ago, four million copies have been sold worldwide.

GIANTS Software, a game developer from Schlieren, has expanded its Farming Simulator 22 game with the release of the Platinum Edition and Platinum Expansion. With this, the forestry part of agriculture has been heavily refined and extended to now contain more than 40 new vehicles and tools, as the company reports in a launch trailer. Launched in November 2021, four million copies of this latest version of Farming Simulator 22 have been sold worldwide so far. “One year since the initial release of Farming Simulator 22. One year full of additional content - lots of it completely free of charge – leading up to one of the gameplay-wise most ambitious expansions we ever did,” said Boris Stefan, Head of Publishing at GIANTS Software.

According to GIANTS Software, Farming Simulator 22 sold more than 1.5 million copies in the space of a week and had reached three million copies sold after nine weeks. “That assures the new, successful, and self-published era of the Farming Simulator brand. An era that sold no less than four million copies of Farming Simulator 22 since launch so far,” says Stefan.

The Platinum Edition combines the base game and expansion, driving the machine count to more than 500 authentically digitized vehicles and tools from over 150 real manufacturers. Silverrun Forest is the most serene map by GIANTS Software so far.

Virtual farmers are welcomed with more than 20,000 trees. They can start production plants and construction projects, harvest trees with state-of-the-art machines, drag logs through the dense forests with winches and overcome impassable terrain with yarders.
