Schlieren - The games developer Giants Software is presenting the latest version of its game Farming Simulator 23 for mobile devices and the Nintendo Switch as well. It provides virtual farmers with new machines, crops, and maps in addition to new gameplay features.

The game developer Giants Software from the Greater Zurich Area is now offering Farming Simulator 23 for mobile devices and the Nintendo Switch in addition to earlier versions for PCs and consoles. According to a press release, Farming Simulator 23 is available now. The Nintendo Switch edition can be purchased from retail stores and in the Nintendo esShop. The mobile versions for iPhones, iPads, and Android devices will be available on the App Store and Google Play.

Boris Stefan, Head of Publishing at Giants Software, comments: “We are proud to strengthen the series’ position as a flagship of the family-friendly genre with this new measure for mobile farming. Farming Simulator 23 proves that simulation games are not restricted to one specific platform but instead can be played anywhere and at any time.”

According to the press release, the simulator provides virtual farmers with new machines, crops, and maps in addition to new gameplay features. Also, hens can now be reared in addition to the cows, horses, pigs, and sheep available previously. The trailer for the commercial launch features a hen as the protagonist and shows the multifaceted nature of the agricultural gaming experience from the perspective of the run-away bird.

Grapes, olives, and sorghum are being added to the total of 14 crops according to information from Giants. New game mechanics such as plowing and weed control add to the options for field maintenance. Virtual farm management is expanded by production chains with the creation of processed goods. This means that harvested wheat can be made into flour that can be used to bake bread or other baked goods in the bakery. ce/gba
