Steiner AG was founded in 1915 and is now one of Switzerland's leading real estate development and construction companies. Its three business units encompass real estate development, new builds and property renovations, as either a main or general contractor. Steiner AG is renowned for developing and constructing complex superstructures and redeveloping derelict sites. In the Greater Zurich Area, Steiner AG was responsible for developing and constructing the huge Sihlcity project, which set a new milestone. In the last few years, Steiner has also worked on a number of other striking urban development projects in the Zurich area, such as SkyKey, Prime Tower, the Löwenbräu site, Radisson Blu Airport Hotel, ETH Hönggerberg, Zurich Exhibition Center and Hotel Widder. The large-scale Maaghof and Lindbergh Allee projects are nearing completion.

Steiner has built over 1,200 residential complexes, 540 commercial premises, 45 hotels and 150 infrastructure installations such as universities, schools, hospitals, prisons and nursing homes. Steiner AG is based in Zurich and has branches in Basel, Bern, Geneva, Tolochenaz, Lucerne and St. Gallen. Since May 2010, Steiner AG has been part of the Indian Hindustan Construction Company Ltd. (HCC) and is represented on the Indian market by its sister company Steiner India Ltd.
