EWATT

Ewatt opens European HQ in Zurich, Switzerland. With further investments planned.

Established in 2010 in Wuhan, China, EWATT has built aircraft and developed a wide range of solutions for industrial applications. After years of operating R&D projects in Europe EWATT has followed with the opening of their Zurich office establishing an official presence on the European Continent.

“We are very happy that our Zurich office has opened, with more and more challenging development programs we have been launching from our European R&D offices, we simply had to build an official presence here.” – explained Victor Paciura, the Overseas Sales Director at EWATT.

Zurich has a huge pool of talented people, and a preferential environment to continue the global business.  These were crucial factors in choosing Zurich as the location for EWATT’s European HQ through which EWATT’s also plans to carry out investments outside of China, oversee international R&D projects and run the commercial activities including direct co-operation with distributors and service providers.

“We have been preparing the launch of the office for nearly a year and we are happy that we are finally in a position to start hiring. Currently, we are focusing on building the technical department, which at this point will focus on integrating 3rd party payloads and other modules onto the aircraft EWATT is developing in their European R&D offices." – explained Victor Paciura.

Investments and Partnerships

During the opening event Darren Zhao the Founder and CEO of EWATT Group stressed the importance of building co-operation among companies in the industry, which he considers crucial to thriving in the ever-changing civilian drone industry.

"The market for civilian UAVs is very complicated and is also currently is undergoing major changes. Only by establishing successful co-operation and enabling one another will drone companies and drone technology providers be able to survive and thrive. Since the very beginning, EWATT has always been very open-minded and willing to co-operate with the most talented individuals and teams based on a win-win principle." – explained Darren Zhao.

The presentations featured during the opening of EWATT Switzerland AG explained that in the years to come EWATT will focus on developing surveillance and big payload capacity drones, including systems for agriculture.

In addition, EWATT is currently building technical and commercial partnerships, which allow the company to cater for the needs of highly demanding industry professionals such as airborne forest inventory measurement systems that EWATT developed for paper companies and forestry users.
