Specifically, its assessments increased for the categories of teaching, research environment, research quality, and industry. The ETH is one of the world’s top ten universities for the newly incorporated assessment of research environment.

The ETH is also rated among the top five for subjects in architecture, computer science, environmental and related sciences, and engineering as with other important ranking lists. Overall, the London-based higher education platform Times Higher Education (THE) assessed 1,904 universities.

ETH President Joël Mesot commented in a press release from the university: “Our mission is to serve society. On this basis, it is the daily commitment of our people to education, research, and knowledge sharing that makes ETH Zurich one of the best universities in the world.”

Our mission is to serve society.
