Basel/Zurich - Nimbo and CFM partners have together launched a digital business valuation tool. It has been specially designed for asset managers and is based on an algorithm that evaluates answers to 20 questions.

Nimbo, a company based in Basel, has developed a digital tool for asset managers in collaboration with CFM partners ag from Zurich. This allows a first impression of a company’s value to be determined.

The tool is based on an algorithm developed by Nimbo. It evaluates answers to 20 quantitative and qualitative questions about the company. They relate to the value and type of assets being managed and the customer or price structure.

Based on these answers, a multi-page report is generated and an evaluation report sent by email within 15 minutes. Nimbo states that this tool is free of charge. Anonymity is guaranteed, with only an email address required.

According to the partners, this asset management valuation differs significantly from SME valuations carried out by the industrial, service or retail sectors. The expertise of CFM partners ag was therefore crucial in developing this tool. The advisory firm focused on the financial services industry has many years of experience in asset management valuations.

“The challenge in development was to ensure the tool was quick and easy to understand, while covering as many cases as possible and incorporating the unique real-world expertise of CFM in the valuation algorithm,” explained Bettina Pfeiffer from Nimbo.
