Biognosys from Schlieren in the canton of Zurich and the biopharmaceutical firm Kymera Therapeutics, headquartered in Waterton, Massachusetts, are joining forces for broad collaborations across preclinical studies and clinical trials, further details of which can be found in a press release. Kymera specializes in the development of targeted protein degradation (TPD), a new area of medicine aimed at expanding the drug-treatable proteome. The proteome is the entirety of all proteins in a defined unit, such as a cell or a human being.
The TrueSignature platform developed by Biognosys offers customizable biomarker panels for precision proteomics. These custom panels, also developed by Biognosys, will allow Kymera to monitor and quantify protein degradation, while the ease of transferability facilitates integration in all phases of the Kymera drug development process

Biognosys is a spin-off of the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Zurich (ETH) and is headquartered in the Bio-Technopark Schlieren-Zurich.
