Zurich - The MedTech firm Bloom Diagnostics has opened its first flagship store. The Bloom Lab will be available here for free testing. This device is able to determine a series of health markers.

Bloom Diagnostics is bringing its smart electronic reader for various health markers directly to end customers: The MedTech firm has now opened its first flagship store in a Zurich pedestrian zone. Here, Bloom Diagnostics will provide interested members of the public with an opportunity to test this electronic device – known as the Bloom Lab – free of charge. According to a press release, the device is able to detect a range of health markers, such as iron levels in the blood and individual ovarian reserves in women.

Bloom Diagnostics opens store

According to the information in the press release, the test portfolio is to be significantly expanded in future. With these self-tests, Bloom Diagnostics is aiming to make health care more accessible. The Bloom Lab transfers the test results including any reports to a smartphone.

“After the first regulatory approvals, we are delighted to open our first walk-in Bloom Store at a busy pedestrian zone in Zurich”, comments Angelica Kohlmann, co-founder and chairperson of Bloom Diagnostics, in the press release. The company’s mission is to democratize access to high-quality healthcare, with the new store bringing Bloom Diagnostics a step closer to achieving this goal, Kohlmann explains further.
