Decentriq has been awarded Swiss Startup of the Year in the Microsoft Partner of the Year Awards from Microsoft Switzerland. Since it was founded three years ago, the Zurich-based startup has become a leading supplier of data clean rooms according to a press release published on startupticker.ch. The award specifically recognizes the company’s growth over the past twelve months.

For example, Decentriq has agreed on a collaboration with the pharmaceutical company Roche. Other clients include Swisscom, PostFinance, the European Space Agency, and the Swiss military. The company’s solution is said to be the only data clean room to combine technologies such as confidential computing, synthetic data, and differential privacy. The platform enables companies to work on sensitive datasets with external partners and simultaneously ensure trust and data protection.

CEO Maximilian Groth commented on startupticker.ch: “After years of successfully working together with Microsoft, we are extremely proud of this recognition.” He adds: “Thanks to Azure Confidential Compute’s general availability, client demand across multiple industries and regions can be fulfilled.”

Second place was awarded to Qumea, a startup from Solothurn. It provides a system for fall prevention and mobility monitoring at care institutions. For third place, the jury selected the automated data extraction platform for business documents from Acodis, based in Winterthur.
