Winterthur - The education platform eduwo closed another financing round in 2021 and doubled its customer numbers. It has also recently started advising companies on selecting the right further training courses. To this end, eduwo is cooperating with the Swiss Banking Association, for example.

The start-up eduwo from Winterthur in the canton of Zurich has enjoyed a successful 2021 so far. For example, the comparison platform for the education sector secured additional support as part of a financing round, further details of which can be found in a press release. This fresh capital is being used by eduwo to invest in further growth, while there is also a focus on sales, among other aspects. In this regard, the start-up has actually already achieved a milestone: customer numbers have been doubled in 2021, while a threefold increase has even been recorded for the number of platform users.

The start-up is currently working to expand its service portfolio. For example, it has recently started offering a comparison function for educational opportunities as well as the placement and booking of talents for suitable courses. Moreover, eduwo is advising companies on the selection of further training courses. “After consultations with innovative companies, we found that finding suitable training for employees is also a hurdle”, explains co-founder and COO Benjamin Vidas. However, the start-up has agreed terms on a strategic cooperation with the Swiss Banking Association in this area, while agreements with more than 40 companies including Microsoft Switzerland, the Swiss retail and wholesale group Coop and the cooperative banking organization Raiffeisen Switzerland have already been activated, with the aim of “forging a connection between education and career”.

Eduwo has also announced that its Board of Directors has been bolstered by the appointment of two new members, namely Viktor Calabrò, founder and member of the Board of Directors of Coople, and Peter Petrin, CEO of Academia Group Switzerland. "We are delighted with the experience in the fields of start-ups and education that our two new board members will bring to the table. This will prove extremely valuable for our further growth”, explains Raphael Tobler, CEO and co-founder of eduwo.
