iRewind cooperating with the New York City Marathon

The Zurich-based video technology company iRewind has gained the New York City Marathon as a new partner. Now, all 33,000 participants in the New York City Marathon 2021 will for the first time be able to buy their own personal video of them crossing the finish line, further details of which can be found in a press release. To this end, iRewind is cooperating with MarathonFoto.

The Dutch company has been providing personal sports photos to participants in the world’s most important running events for 35 years. In addition, all runners who took part in the New York City Marathon on Sunday will have the opportunity to purchase a video of their own last mile via MarathonFoto. For this purpose, iRewind is now making its Instant Personalized Videos platform available to MarathonFoto.

According to a press release issued by iRewind, the video consists of a generic 3D rendering of the marathon course, personal metadata of the run and the participant’s own run sequences. For the production of the videos, iRewind will use the self-service solution that it developed in-house. This can be easily activated on site via the iRewind app.

In the press release, iRewind describes gaining the world’s largest and most prestigious marathon as another milestone in its brief history. According to information from iRewind itself, the company’s client base already includes notable brands such as ASICS, UBS and Vodafone. The iRewind technology is deployed at running events such as the Paris Marathon, the Stockholm Marathon and the Weltklasse Zürich.
