Zurich – Three companies from the Greater Zurich Area have been named among Europe’s 100 digital pioneers by the “Financial Times”, Google and leading European politicians. Zurich’s stars are the health platform dacadoo, the football streaming platform Mycujoo and the technology corporation ABB.

The “Financial Times”, Google and leading European politicians have honoured Europe’s 100 digital champions. Among the companies named are three from Switzerland, all of whom are headquartered in the Greater Zurich Area.

One of the Swiss winners is the health platform dacadoo from Zurich. The company provides an app to customers of health insurers, life insurances and occupational health programmes that uses games to demonstrate more healthy lifestyles.

Also honoured for its digital prowess was Mycujoo, which promotes little known football matches by allowing clubs to film their own games and stream them over the Zurich company's platform to the whole world. Mycujoo’s innovations also include an artificial intelligence-based tool that makes it easier to find football matches. The company has already established partnerships with the European Football Association UEFA and the Asian Football Confederation that will help it to grow.

The third Swiss company named in the champions list is the technology corporation ABB, also of Zurich. In its report, the “Financial Times” highlights ABB’s developments in the fields of robotics, artificial intelligence and data, which are helping digitalise expensive and dangerous tasks including work on drilling rigs in the open sea.
