ETH and the SBB are collaborating to develop an internationally leading research hub for mobility in Switzerland and create solutions to future challenges. AMAG has now become the first partner from the automotive industry to join the Mobility Initiative. AMAG, ETH and the ETH Foundation have just signed an agreement for a long-term partnership spanning ten years.

“Mobility is going to see substantial changes over the coming years,” explained AMAG’s CEO Morten Hannesbo in a press release. He said the ETH Mobility Initiative is “a major competitive driver for Switzerland” and will help further the development of innovative and viable mobility solutions for the future.

Such partnerships with companies enable ETH to integrate inspiration from practical experience into its research and to accelerate the transfer of knowledge into practice. ETH plans to establish an ETH Mobility Center. It is also seeking more partners to join the initiative.
