The Venture Kick initiative has awarded a grant of 150,000 Swiss francs to the start-up CareerLunch, which is based in Baar in the canton of Zug. CareerLunch impressed on account of its recruitment platform that is set to revolutionize the traditional process of filling job vacancies.

Using the platform developed by the start-up, employers are able to arrange an informal business lunch to discuss vacancies with potential candidates. These can be held either virtually or in person. The platform offers both parties “more authentic opportunities to get to know each other”, Venture Kick explains in a press release.

Thanks to CareerLunch, companies are also in a position to engineer a personal connection between potential new recruits and existing employees. This aids the process of searching for a suitable candidate. At the same time, job applicants also have the opportunity to gain an insight into the business culture of their potential new company.

Since then, the start-up has successfully managed to attract “a sizeable number of top international employers as customers”, according to information from Venture Kick. Using this fresh capital, the company is planning to expand its presence within the German-speaking market.

“The Venture Kick funds allow us to enter new markets with more firepower, and the network allows us to onboard excellent advisors and investors”, comments Simon Hofer, CEO and co-founder of CareerLunch, in the press release.
